Welcome to Orchid Woodlands. At Orchid Woodlands we pride ourselves on providing high-quality person-centred care that focuses one our central theme of compassion, dignity, and respect.
With more than 10years experience in providing top quality residential and dementia care to the elderly, we have started Orchid Woodlands to offer compassionate, affordable care in comfortable fit for purpose surroundings.
We have looked closely at what it takes to live a good life with dementia and are determined to share our expertise with everyone who comes to live with us.
Orchid Woodlands Healthcare Ltd is dedicated to providing excellent care to all our residents. We believe that the best way to accomplish this is through an individual-focused approach to care. As a healthcare provider we understand everyone is different and deserves a premium-tailored care service one which focuses on their individual needs and promotes independence.
We provide services for residential care, day care, respite care, early-onset dementia care, retirement, end of life care, complex care needs and assisted living.
We have deep respect and understanding of how cruel dementia affects families and the person itself. You can always rely on our support, and we will keep you updated by phone, email, text or whichever way of communication you prefer. We provide accommodation, meals and 24-hour personal care for those who find it increasingly difficult to cope at home without assistance. Our Staff at our homes are very professional and motivated and training is provided to ensure that high standards are kept.
There is always something to do with a lively programme of activities and occasional outgoings. Guests, be it friends or relatives, are always made to feel welcome at any time of the day.
Promoting a variety of social activities is very important. We work closely with many different local groups and societies to maximise opportunities for residents. These are regularly reviewed with meetings with residents, families and friends and our key partners to ensure that we continue to provide fulfilling opportunities and engagement to all our residents.
Mealtimes are an important part of the day for Norse Care residents, and we provide an excellent catering service in our homes. Our teams put an emphasis on healthy, fresh and locally-sourced food, including specialist dietary needs. We fully recognise the importance of a balanced, nutritious diet and keeping people well hydrated and healthy
Many of our care homes offer short-term care also, often called respite care. This offers people an opportunity to receive specialist care and support in a warm, safe and friendly environment for a short period of time, but can also offer their usual carer a well-earned break as well.
It can also help people who are convalescing from a period of time in hospital, enabling them to recover in an environment where they can be supported by our care teams.
Short-term care can range from a few days to a few weeks, and can be arranged on a recurring or one off basis.
All residents will receive the same personalised care and support that our full time residents receive and we encourage people to take advantage of the social activities and events going on within the home.
