Residential care
At Orchid Woodlands, we are fully trained to provide 24-hour residential care – this includes respite care and specialist care for those living with dementia. Our friendly support staff are encouraged to continually develop their existing knowledge and skills in caring for the elderly and we have extensive experience providing the best quality care at our homes.
Through our specialist insight, we help all our residents to make the most of their abilities. We actively support with day-to-day tasks, including washing, cleaning and dressing. Our aim is always to support our residents so that they can continue to live as full a life as possible.
We thrive on creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment, with caring teams of professionals on-hand to provide person-centred care. The community spirit within our home coupled with the environment, which supports people to regain some independence, has a hugely positive effect and helps our residents live as full a life as possible.
A place to call home
At our homes, we recognise the importance of recreational activities and we invest a lot of time making sure our residents enjoy every day. With dedicated co-ordinators, we have a full programme of events on a daily basis, many of which actively encourage participation from family, friends and the local community.
It’s a lively place, with close links to the local community who visit regularly to take part in events – we’ve always got something fun going on. We even celebrate all kinds of special occasions, from Easter and Mother’s Day to Halloween and St Patrick’s Day!
It is not just the indoors we have to offer, our residents are free to explore our well maintained gardens or just enjoy some fresh air in our patio area, all the while enjoying a cup of tea. If the residents would prefer some time out of the sun, then there is also a large quit room that the residents can occupy and enjoy activities in.
Our Rooms
Our rooms are well-equipped, that offer privacy and independence. We offer 24-hour room service, with tea and coffee making facilities available on request.We believe in paying attention to detail, a clean warm and homely environment where you, relatives or friends can relax in the company of others and enjoy life. Use of colours, signs, and furnishings have been chosen to assist whilst still offering interest and comfort.
Our homes offer a wide variety of living space options including sunroom, spacious lounges and seating throughout where you can rest and relax. Our bedrooms are decorated to a high standard, some with additional facilities including en-suites/wet rooms, flat screen TV and patio doors to our secure spacious garden, providing a home from home feel with the comfort of knowing extra support is available when needed. All the bedrooms and en-suites have a nurse call point which offers residents rapid access to a carer 24 hours a day.
